Holland and Barrett is extending its card loyalty program and it has purchased an additional five million cards for its customers.
The health food company had authorized a Macclesfield manufacturer to make a million cards for its loyalty schemes across 40 chosen stores earlier this year.
The programme signed up around 200,000 shoppers in the north and the midlands during a 19-week trial but now the business is rolling the scheme out nationwide. The business quotes that it will register 2.5 million customers to the system in its first 12 months.
The retailer loyalty cards and key fob cards will enable customers to present them at the till to obtain points on their purchases. For every pound spent, the consumer will get four points that may be exchanged for coupons to make use of in-store.
