About the HVBA

The roots of Holme Valley Business Association go back over 100 years when shops and local businesses formed the Shopkeepers and Traders’ Association.

In 1910, the association became Holme Valley Chamber of Trade. In 1994, it was renamed Holme Valley Business Association (HVBA) to emphasise its representation of all businesses and not just the important traditional shop and retail membership.

Our prime aims are to:

• Work for the future development and prosperity of the Holme Valley

• Promote the Holme Valley locally, regionally, nationally and internationally

• Take action on all matters affecting members’ interests, locally or otherwise

• Maintain a good working relationship with local authorities

• Foster good relations between all businesses and with all other local organisations.
