Fight-back of the Year 2024

“Fight-back of the Year” is back, bigger and even better than before with some fantastic bowling luggage and accessories up for grabs.

Last year our “fight-back of the Year” Competition celebrated some incredible games where players battled from a long way back to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

We’re back for a new season and again a big thank you to our sponsor and judge Nick Blackburn of Well Bowled – stockists of all things bowling.

Entry is open to everyone participating in a hvba game be that league or knock outs, six or ten man, pairs or singles – every hvba competitive game is eligible.

The winning entry each month will go forward into the end of year final when the an overall winner of the Well Bowled Fight-back of the Year award will be selected

and, making it bigger and even better this year, there will also be prizes for two runners up.

To enter players (or captains/team mates with the players permission)  simply need to send a copy/photo of the original match day score card to the email address below. Please make sure the player names, club and match date details are all clear to read. Entries must be received within 7 days of playing and will be entered into the monthly round in which the game took place.

As well as the deficit overturned entries will also be judged on circumstances such as who were the opposition, was it at home, away or on a neutral ground, the criticality of the game/match, handicaps etc.

Monthly qualifiers will be announced here on the hvba website so keep a look out for updates throughout the season.
