The draw and date for the 2022 Hickson Trophy was made at the AGM on 5 November.

Huddersfield hosted the tournament in 2021 and now have to wait until 2029 to host it again. It’s the turn of Skipton to host the 2022 competition on Friday 8 July. The greens will be announced a couple of weeks before the event. Bowlers have to be over 65 for this particular competition. It’s a 12 man team but squads need more than 12 as they may have to play 3 games if they reach final and coupled with the travelling to Skipton and around the greens it could be a very long and tiring day.

Huddersfield are of course the current holders and have been drawn against Sheffield in the first round. The draw is as follows:

Castleford vs Bradford

Barnsley vs Halifax

West Riding vs Skipton

Huddersfield vs Sheffield
