Julie Fuller handicaps are subject to adjustment should any of the below bowlers from 10-man Div1 teams (current or previous season) take part in a Julie Fuller round for any team, under any club. The list shows the bowlers 10-man club, but if they were to play in the 6-man for a different club they will still take with them their handicap adjustment. Adjustments are based on averages and do not apply to all 10-man Div 1 bowlers, only those listed below.
The adjustments will apply, per bowler, to the team handicap and can result in a negative team handicap of up to -11 (i.e. applying the players adjustments cannot take a team’s handicap to -12 or less).
Example 1: Team X with a handicap of 11 meets Team Y with a handicap of 4. Team Y plays 2 bowlers from the list of names below who have JF adjustments of -1 and -2, a total of -3 which is taken away from their handicap of 4. This reduces Team Y’s overall handicap on the day from 4 to 1.
Example 2: Team X with a handicap of 2 meets Team Y with a handicap of 14. Team X plays 4 bowlers from the list of names below who have JF adjustments of -3, -3, -3 and -3, a total of -12. This is taken away from their handicap of 2. This reduces Team X’s overall handicap on the day from 2 to -10.
Example 3: Team X with a scratch handicap meets Team Y with a handicap of 16. Team X plays 5 bowlers from the list of names below who have JF adjustments of -2, -2, -3, -3 and -3, a total of -13. This, when taken away from their scratch handicap results in -13, but the maximum negative handicap is limited to -11. Therefore Team X’s overall handicap on the day reduces from scratch to -11.
