01 Sep CRUCIAL MATCH AGAINST WEST RIDING

For our final match in the Yorkshire Veterans Inter District League our opponents are West Riding who have 5 points more than Huddersfield and are currently in second place.

For this match on the 5th September commencing at 1300 the Home team are returning to Brockholes BC, whilst the Away team is playing at Hightown Libs.

The home team is Robert Dickinson, John Bloomer, Mick Chapman, Stephen Haigh, Robert Spencer, Ray Whitwam, Graham Sigsworth, Andy Wike. Reserves Tony Cross, Barry Gibson. Non playing Captain Frank Greenwood. Manager David Armitage.

The away team captain Malcolm Gilbert who is still cogitating his line up which is from Tony Butterfield, Adrian Cooper, Edwin Haigh, Derek Hewitt, Peter Hopkinson, Dave Pollard, Tim Poulter, Garry Senior, Steve Mallinson and Dave Sykes.

The HVBA don’t have any other finals or distractions this week so hopefully a bumper turnout of supporters at both venues will see a gripping encounter.
