Half Year General Meeting – 13th October

The Half Year General Meeting took place on 13th October and was well attended by club representatives, players, and captains, all gathering for the end-of-season prize giving.

This year we sadly lost David Sykes, and in his honour, League President Richard Armitage delivered a heartfelt tribute, followed by a warm and sustained round of applause in David’s memory.

Our Treasurer Alan Stephenson reported that the league’s finances remain in excellent shape, while League and Competition Secretary Paul English reflected on another successful season. Paul also extended his thanks to everyone for their patience and teamwork during the re-entry of results after what will now forever be known as the “Great Bowlsnet Disaster of 2025.”

To round things off, the raffle raised a fantastic £115 for Kirkwood Hospice – a big thank you to everyone who donated prizes and bought tickets.
