03 Jul HUDDERSFIELD V SKIPTON, PART TWO!

Huddersfield kick off their 2025 campaign in Sheffield versus Skipton who only last week conjured up a win against us and dented our hopes of a league title. This, however, is cup tie bowling and everything is at stake in the first round match being played at Swallownest. The address is King Street, Swallownest S26 4TX, kick off is 10.30 am, there’s street parking adjacent to the green and the club are putting on hot and cold food and drinks.

It’s a 12-person team comprised both our Home and Away teams and will be selected from Ray Whitwam, Mick Chapman, Graham Sigsworth, Andy Wike and Rob Dickinson from the home team squad and almost a full away team contingent of Dave Sykes, Steve Mallinson, Adrian Cooper, Malcolm Gilbert, Edwin Haigh, Derek Hewitt, Peter Hopkinson, Dave Pollard, Tim Poulter and Garry Senior.

Should we be successful we’ll go onto the quarter-final starting approximately 1.30 at Catcliffe Recreation Ground, Catcliffe, Rotherham S60 5TX. Hot and cold drinks and snacks available and Whitby’s fish and chip just across the road. If we do get through to this stage we’ll meet the winners of Leeds vs West Riding which will be a tough tie to get through to the semi-finals and final on Friday 11 July, venues to be published later.
