A FEAST of bowling is set to be graced by sunny and warm weather as the Huddersfield Veterans Bowling Association’s season gets into full swing.

Lockwood Park is the venue for the Over 70s Final with action starting at 1.30pm. The draw is: Andy Carter (Marsh United) +1 v David Jones (Primrose Hill); Paul Rangeley (Netherton Con) +2 v John Bloomer (Almondbury Lib) +3; Paul Rushworth (Broad Oak) +7 v Robert Mudd (Waterloo) +1; Graham Hirst (Lowerhouses) Scr v Kevin McCluskey (Huddersfield Rec) +7.

Our new-look 8-page programme will once be available, it’s on a first come basis and free of charge.

On Friday we start our Lower Division Trophy which has attracted 68 entries this year. The competition gets under way at the Lindley Lib and Marsh United greens.
