11 Sep Rosebowl Washout!

Thursday’s Peter & Judith Muff Rosebowl at Netherton Con was abandoned with the green waterlogged.

An heavy downpour initially delayed the start but with thunder and lightning close by and further heavy downpours that contained hail a decision to rearrange the final was quickly agreed.

The eight bowlers and officials opted for Sunday 21 September as an ideal alternate date with the final once again to be hosted by Netherton Con (1.30pm) .

Our photo shows the waterlogged green and flooded ditch, though most bowlers were happier to enjoy refreshments in the clubhouse rather than venture outside!
