Friday 27 June is the last match for Huddersfield until August and we’re facing the same opponents as the first round tie of the Hickson Trophy taking place in Sheffield on 4 July.

The home team play at Linthwaite Hall starting 1 pm and the team is Andy Carter, Stephen Haigh, John Bloomer, Mick Chapman, Robert Dickinson, Ray Whitwam, Graham Sigsworth, Andy Wike. Reserves Tony Cross, Peter Kain, non-playing captain Frank Greenwood, manager David Armitage.

The away team play at Sutton Park, Sutton in Craven BD20 7JS. Captain Malcolm Gilbert selects from the same squad that had 6 winners at Wakefield.

This is another crucial match for Huddersfield who’ll be looking closely at the scores on Friday as two challengers for the title, Halifax and West Riding, go head to head and the other challenger, Leeds have a bye. A good win here will set the team up for our first round Hickson Trophy tie against Skipton, and possibly a final day appearance in the Hickson. Huddersfield have a bye in the next round the league on 25 July and return to action on 8 August.
