2025 League structure confirmed

The 2025 league structures for both the 10-man and 6-man competitions was confirmed by the Management Committee of the Huddersfield Veterans Bowling Association on Monday 20th January.

The committee was delighted to learn that Marsh Liberal club are to field an extra 10-man team in 2025, with their presence in the competition helping to offset the loss of Outlane who have withdrawn from the league.

Marsh Liberal’s B team will feature in the Division 5 competition this year while Primrose Hill Liberal club, who finished third in Division 5 in 2024, will fill the vacant position left by Outlane’s absence in Division 4.

The 6-man competition continues to grow in numbers with the year-on-year growth seeing that competition expand to four divisions in 2025.

Unfortunately, Bradley & Colne have withdrawn and their place in Division 2 will be taken by a new team from the Broad Oak club.

The competition will see 12 teams competing in Division 1 while 11 clubs will operate in Divisions 2, 3 and 4.

Four other new teams, Clayton West B, Hemplow B, Netherton Con B and New Mill B will join the competition, all four will compete in Division 4.

The committee is delighted to welcome so many new teams to its competition and wish all existing and new clubs every success in 2025.
