08 Aug COVID POSTPONEMENTS

Two matches in Tuesday’s 10-man league have been postponed. They are the Section 2 match Lindley BC A team vs Kirkheaton Con A and the Section 4 match Kirkheaton Con B vs Lindley BC B team.

Lindley BC B team had a player confirmed positive on Thursday morning after feeling ill on Tuesday evening. They had played Thongsbridge B team on the Tuesday whom they immediately contacted on the news.

Thongsbridge sought advice of the association and the BCGBA supplied a Covid Action Plan which was available should such an event arise. Club reps may request a copy of the plan. Both Lindley and Thongsbridge followed the guidance.

Lindley BC suggested a postponement of this weeks fixtures which the association have confirmed and advised Kirkheaton Con. Flexibility will be given on the re-arrangement of both fixtures. The association considered that Friday’s Section 2 match Hemplow A vs Lindley BC A could go ahead as the 10-day period had elapsed since the Covid test. Lindley will advise the association if any more of their players have positive tests.
