01 Sep FIRST FINALS OF THE YEAR

Friday 3 September brings the Association’s first finals of the 2021 season and the first for a couple of years. The event is being hosted by Kirkheaton C&BC and starts at 1.30 pm.

Kicking off the event will be the Over 80’s semi-finals between Geoff Firth & Gordon Walker and Roy Sutton & Frank Greenwood.

The semi-finals will be followed by the final of the Julie Fuller Trophy between the Marsh Utd and Slaithwaite C&BC 6-man teams playing 3 pairs matches. The teams are off handicaps of 12 and 18 respectively. Neither team have won this comp before so there’s sure to be new name on the trophy.

Following the Julie Fuller final the Over 80’s final will take place when hopefully the contestants will have  caught their breath and will be ready to prove that age is not a barrier to exhibition bowling. The prizes will be presented by Pat and Alan (our Treasurer) Stephenson who sponsor this event.

It should be a fascinating days bowling and all the teams and contestants would welcome spectators cheering them along.
