09 Feb NEW MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBER

The Management Committee are pleased to announce that Phil Warbrick has agreed to join the committee. Phil responded to the committee’s commitment to help the members clubs with their recruitment by offering his views on the process we should take. He was invited to attend our December meeting as a guest and subsequently agreed to join the committee.

Many of you will know Phil as the club rep of Honley Conservative Club.

Since joining the committee he has researched how we can improve the coaching of potential new bowlers. He has joined the writer, your very own General Secretary, on the newly formed alliance or coalition of 11 leagues and associations in the Huddersfield area. The first meeting took place in January and all attendees committed to efforts to increase participation in bowls. The first fruits of this initiative of the HVBA will be announced shortly.
