PETER MUFF, OUR PRESIDENTS REFLECTIONS

Peter Muff, a HVBA Life Member passed away peacefully on Wednesday 2 March aged 92.

He will be remembered for his position of Sports Editor for the Huddersfield Examiner, a post he held for many years.

His sporting interests were many and varied covering horse racing, snooker and billiards, swimming and crown green bowling. His main sporting passion was watching bowling and he had an intimate knowledge of the ability of all the top bowlers in the county. He had the ability to make a score card an interesting story!

His promotion of the game of bowls did not go unnoticed by the various clubs and leagues he was associated with and he was made a Life Member of the Griffin Bowling Club, the HVBA, Huddersfield Saturday league, Meltham, Slaithwaite and Almondbury Bowling Clubs.

Peter will be sadly missed.
