18 May HUDDERSFIELD’S MATCHES ROUND 2

Friday 20 May is Round 2 day for the Yorkshire Inter-District Veterans League. The venue for the home game is Thongsbridge Bowling Club and the away team are playing at Castleford Town. The teams are:

Teams and reserves (not in playing order or reserve preference)
Away at Castleford Town (BC): Donald Booth, Malcolm Gilbert (Captain), Edwin Haigh, Derek Hewitt, Dave Pollard, Tim Poulter, Garry Senior, Roger Stopford. Reserves: Tony Butterfield, Frank Griffin. Manager: Alan Sharpe.

Home at Thongsbridge C&BC: Alan Bamforth, Andy Carter, Tony Clegg, Mick Cox, Rob Dickinson, Barry Gibson, Eddie Haigh, Peter Kain. Manager & non playing captain:  Frank Greenwood.

Following Huddersfield’s exceptional result against Wakefield we hope we can continue in the same vein, weather is looking good so come on down to either Thongsbridge or Castleford Town to support our teams. Kick off time is 1 pm.
