On Sunday 29 June, Skelmanthorpe Windmill will be running a comp that they’re calling the Battle of the Sexes.

If you’re not playing in it I’m sure it will be entertaining and probably very competitive event and worthy of watching. I’ve been to Windmill events and it will be an ‘event’. Whether the hells angels turn up again or not there will be lots to entertain visitors. All proceeds of the event will be donated to the HVBA Kirkwood fund which we greatly appreciate and  would encourage other clubs to run similar events. In 2024 the veterans bowling community raised £1250 for the Kirkwood which is a huge figure for us to emulate or surpass.

I hope to catch up with lots of bowlers on the 29th,
