Thursday 2 July at 1.30 pm at Longwood Bowling Club.

This will be the second year running that Longwood have sponsored this competition and hosted a the final specifically for bowlers bowling in the lower divisions who, perhaps, may never have entered a competition before thinking that comps are only for the better, elite bowlers. Handicaps are in the DNA of all the Associations trophies, whether team or individual as we endeavour to provide a varied programme of bowling for all bowlers. The handicaps are sometimes contentious but they’re designed to give everyone a chance of winning.

Non of the contestants in this final have won an Association trophy so we’ll have a new name on the trophy and a new name to add to our honours board at https://www.hvba.co.uk/archive-individual-pairs-comps/. Hopefully they will all go on and enter other competitions after their success in this competition.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Longwood combined with the contribution from PrintPod this is one of the most remunerative comps in our calendar aimed at it being an incentive to enter the Rosebowl, Over 70’s or Over 80’s or a pairs competition.
