20 Aug AIRE & WHARFE vs HUDDERSFIELD

The penultimate round of the Inter-District league takes place on Friday 21 August with a 1 pm start time. Huddersfield are in fourth place in the league on 167 points behind West Riding, Bradford and Leeds on 272, 223 and 211 points respectively. However, West Riding and Bradford have both played one game more and with 56 points available for each game final positions are not set in stone and Huddersfield could still take a step up at this stage. Bradford have a bye in this round and a good result against Aire & Wharfe could erode the difference between the two sides which could be reversed when the two teams play each other in the final round on 4 September.

The home team have played one of their trump cards by selecting Lowerhouses once again where they’ve had two good results. The team in no particular order is Peter Fuller, Andy Wike, Ray Whitwam, Martin Skuse, Rob Spencer, Stephen Haigh, Mick Chapman and Rob Dickinson.
