19 Sep CAN LINFIT HALL ADD ANOTHER TITLE?

Linthwaite Hall have already won the sub-team knockout and by the time you read this they may have added the Division 3 title to their trophy cabinet and they still have a date with destiny on Thursday. More exactly the Bistro final facing the mighty Lockwood Con.

The Bistro is the final team competition of our season and takes place at Brockholes Bowling Club on Thursday 22 September at 1.30 pm.  Each team have won the trophy once before, Linthwaite Hall in 1998 and Lockwood Con more recently in 2017. Lockwood Con start off scratch whilst Linthwaite Hall start with a 20 handicap based on their position in Division 3.

Five pairs compete in the Bistro. The highest aggregate wins and if there’s a draw the team with the most wins will win the trophy. The Bistro is known for it’s unpredictability and giant killing acts are frequent but is this a bridge too far for the Linfit Hall team? To witness this David and Goliath match be there at the start, it’s sure to be enthralling!
