ELLAND CLUBS FACE OPENING DAY TRIPS

ELLAND C&BC were just four points shy of gaining promotion to the top 10-man division at the conclusion of the 2024 season so will be looking to get their season off to a good start when they travel to face Lindley BC at the start of the 2025 season.

Their neighbours, Elland WMC, are also on their travels though they make the longer journey with a trip to Thongsbridge A.

Netherton Con A were the other side relegated from Division 1 and they face the task of taking on Golcar Lib B, a side who finished tenth at this level in 2024.

Denby Dale who finished as runners up in Division 3 last term face Almondbury BC A as they bid to cement a place at this level.

New Mill A finished fourth in Division 2 in 2024 and despite opponents Milnsbridge A finishing seventh last term they will have a nervous wait for the season to commence. That’s because in the corresponding fixture in 2024 the Milnsbridge side left New Mill with a 7-2 success. That’s despite the aggregate scores being separated by just three points!

Finally, Shepley will be the venue for the division’s remaining game on the opening day – Broad Oak A will provide the opposition.

The full list of fixtures will be available to view on Bowlsnet.uk this evening.
