02 May EXTRA GAMES ADDED FOR DIVISION 5 OF 10-MAN SECTION

After yesterdays announcement of the withdrawal of Ravensknowle Park B team from Division 5 the League Secretary has acted quickly and created more games for the 10 remaining teams.

The fixtures in the Year Book are still accurate but with the withdrawal of Ravensknowle Park it left the 10 remaining teams with only 18 matches and 4 byes throughout the season, there would have been two teams with byes each week. The two teams will now play each other which seems a simple enough answer but all the new fixtures have had to be added to Bowlsnet which has been done overnight. Again no simple task as 5 out of the 10 teams share a green with an A team or in the case of David Brown Sports who share the Crosland Moor green.

This solution does mean that each team will play several of the other teams 3 or perhaps 4 times. This isn’t ideal but much better than having 4 Tuesdays without a game.

The club reps of each of the 10 teams have been contacted by phone and advised of the situation.
