08 Aug Fight-back of the Year Competition 2024

“Fight-back of the Year” is back, bigger and even better than before, with fantastic bowling luggage and accessories up for grabs.

We’ve seen some excellent entries to date and all very hard to separate, so much so it has been decided to allow more than one per month to go through to the end of year judging. Below are the front runners to date – all make it to the final judging and are in with a chance to bag a prize. At the end of the season it is certainly going to be a tough task for our sponsor and judge Nick Blackburn of Well Bowled – stockists of all things bowling.

As well as an overall winner there are a number of runners up prizes, so be sure not to miss out. If you or a team mate have made a brilliant fight-back get your entry in. Fight-back of the Year is open to everyone participating in a hvba game be that league or knock outs, six or ten man, pairs or singles – every hvba competitive game is eligible.

To enter, a player (or their captain/team mates with the players permission) simply need to send a copy/photo of the original match day score card to the email address below. Please make sure the player names, club and match date details are all clear to read. Entries must be received within 7 days of playing. As well as the deficit overturned entries will also be judged on circumstances such as who the opposition were, was it at home, away or on a neutral green, the criticality of the game/match, handicaps etc.
