The 2022 knockout trophy for inter-district teams is being hosted by the Skipton veterans association. The date is Friday 8 July. Six of the Yorkshire Inter-District Veterans league teams are joined by Barnsley and Sheffield. 12-man teams of over 65 year-old veterans bowlers lock horns as follows: 

First round start 10 am

Match 1 – Castleford v Bradford at Addingham

Match 2 – Barnsley v Halifax at Cononley

Match 3 – West Riding v Skipton at Whinfield

Match 4 – Huddersfield v Sheffield at Craven

Semi finals-start asap but probably 12.30 to 1 pm

Winner of Match 1 v winner of Match 2 at Whinfield

Winner of Match 3 v winner of Match 4 at Gargrave

Final – start asap but probably 4.30 to 5 pm at Broughton Road.

Food and refreshments will be available through the day. The Craven green parking will be in the main car park, (Skipton will pay towards parking charges as long as cars are shared). This should be a great day out watching top bowlers at the gateway to the Dales. The Huddersfield team are defending champions won on home soil in 2021 and would welcome a following on the day. Let’s hope this beautiful weather continues on 8 July.
