11 Jul HICKSON TROPHY FINALS

Huddersfield bowed out of this years Hickson Trophy narrowly losing to West Riding. The results of the round robin stage of the tournament played Friday 7 July was:

Group 1 played at Hipperholme BC, Aire & Wharfedale 488, Wakefield 419, Castleford 352

Group 2 played at Rastrick BC, Halifax 425, Leeds 419, Barnsley 391

Group 3 played at Hill Crest BC, West Riding 417, Huddersfield 403, Bradford 386

Group 4 played at Hove Edge BC, Sheffield 452, Skipton 395, Harrogate 350

The semi-finals played on Friday 14 July starting at 11 am are:

Aire & Wharfedale vs Halifax at Mytholmroyd BC HX7 5DS

West Riding vs Sheffield at Sowerby West End BC HX6 3BB

The final will be at Elland Working Mens Club HX5 0HT starting at 3 pm.

Although Huddersfield are out we still have an interest in the final day as two of our member clubs, Elland C&BC and Rastrick, will be well represented in the Halifax team. We do also have some of the West Riding team playing in our leagues.
