In 2021 we aim to bring you news of the Inter-District squad representing Huddersfield who were champions in 2019.

Two teams represent our district – a home and an away squad and the aggregate scores of the two squads determine the winning team. There are 8 teams in the Yorkshire area including Huddersfield so it’s quite an achievement to have been champions 15 time since the inaugural season in 1992.

The home squad was captained by Mick Cox of Lockwood Cons and managed by David Armitage. The away squad was captained by Malcolm Gilbert of Clayton West Bowling Club and managed by John Hoyle, ably assisted by Alan Sharpe.

Each year all the Inter-District teams compete for the Hickson Trophy and Huddersfield are due to host this event in 2021. Watch this space for the date.
