JULIE FULLER FINAL POSITIONS

After 4 matches in the Julie Fuller Trophy maxi league the semi-finalists have been determined on total aggregate without having to resort to points against. Several teams have had points deducted after fielding an ineligible bowler including one of the semi-finalists but had they had a 21-0 against their name they would still have qualified.

The semi-final draw will be made at the 9 August Management Committee meeting and the matches will be played on Friday 20 August on neutral greens. As this is a knockout stage any team fielding an ineligible player will forfeit the game 21-0. Players must have played at least 2 games in the 6-man leagues to be eligible.

The semi-finalists will be Slaithwaite, Marsh Utd, Honley Con and Longwood. All the teams received a handicap and the highest placed Section 1 team, Brockholes A, playing without an handicap only secured 6= place with 252 points having won all their matches with maximum points.

Slaithwaite and Netherton Con were given an average score for their first round matches that were cancelled due to the withdrawal of Lindley Libs and the Holmfirth B team.

Your comments about the format of the competition and the handicaps would be appreciated. This year the format was changed to give all 6-man teams a game every Monday throughout the season
