09 Jan MORE TEAMS FOR 2024

Monday 8 January was the deadline for clubs to submit their teams for the 2024 season and it showed a healthy increase in the number of teams playing in our leagues.

The 10-man league which plays on Tuesdays lost a team from Division 2 when Bradley & Colne WMC withdrew a team but that has been compensated by Elland WMC club entering a team. The league will therefore have 60 teams competing in 5 divisions, the same as in 2023.

Bradley & Colne WMC have entered a 6-man team in the Monday league as they struggled in 2023 fielding a full 10-man team. They are joined in this league by a further 4 new teams with Brockholes following Thongsbridge by adding a C team, Greenhead Park and Marsh Libs are both adding a B team and Waterloo are entering a 6-man team for 2024.

The management committee meet next Monday to determine the make-up of both leagues with a commitment to balance the divisions in the 10-man league.
