OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS FOR PIP HILL?

WITH Outlane having dropped out from the 10-man league there has been a late promotion for Primrose Hill Lib who finished third in Division 5 last term. The Pip Hill club will make the short journey to Lockwood Park to face Huddersfield RUBC – it’s a repeat of their first game of the 2023 season when the hosts recorded a 7-2 success.

Champions Netherton Con B will start their season at home to Marsh United B, a side who finished fourth in the division last year.

David Brown Sports – who play at Crosland Moor – were runners up to Netherton in 2024 and they make the journey across Huddersfield on the opening day to visit Ravensknowle Park.

Skelmanthorpe Windmill – relegated from Division 3 – start their season at Huddersfield Rec.

That leaves two fixtures that feature teams who played at this level in 2024.

Milnsbridge B who finished seventh entertain a Kirkheaton C & BC A team who narrowly missed out on promotion in September. The visitors will be looking for a repeat of their 6-3 success last term.

The final encounter sees Meltham B – who won their first four games on their home green in 2024 – look for a repeat of their 6-3 victory over Thongsbridge B.
