Pairs at Marsh Lib on Thursday

MARSH Liberal Club is the venue as the Huddersfield Veterans Bowling Association (HVBA) Pairs Shield competition commences on Thursday at 1:30pm.

There is a good afternoon of bowling in prospect with three recent winners of this competition, 2024 winners from Waterloo Ian Lunn and Alan Stephenson, 2023 winners from Marsh United Andy Carter and Steve Mallinson and 2021 & 2022 winner Edwin Haigh and Tim Poulter from Clayton West amongst those taking part.

A number of other handy-looking pairs have entered the handicap competition which starts the HVBA’s individual and pairs season of competitions.

The Pairs Shield final will be held at Almondbury Liberal on Thursday 15 May. The draw for Thursday’s ties will take place ahead of the scheduled start time of 1:30pm.

Our next competition is the Over 70s individual – the closing date for entries for this competition is Wednesday April 30.
