01 Aug PENULTIMATE ROUND

Round 6 of the Yorkshire Veterans Inter-District League takes place this coming Friday 5 August when Huddersfield take on Bradford at 1 pm.

The home team return to their favourite hunting ground of Thongsbridge for the last time this season as the bye-laws state that the same green cannot be used more than 4 times in a season.

To maintain any hope of retaining the trophy won in 2021 Huddersfield must have an emphatic win both home and away and hope that Skipton get one over West Riding.

The teams are as follows:

Home at Thongsbridge C&BC: Alan Bamforth, John Bloomer, Mick Cox, Robert Dickinson, Peter Hopkinson, Peter Kain, Graham Sigsworth, Roland Swallow.

Reserves: Barry Gibson.  Manager and Non Playing Captain Frank Greenwood.

Away at Littlemoor BC: Tony Butterfield, Malcolm Gilbert (C) Frank Griffin, Derek Hewitt, Dave Pollard, Tim Poulter, Garry Senior, Roger Stopford.

Reserve: Edwin Haigh.    Manager Alan Sharpe.
