PETER MUFF LEGACY

At today’s AGM of the Association it was announced that the late Peter Muff, a Life Member of our Association had left the association 1/50th of his estate.

Peter was well known in bowling circles as the bowling correspondent of the Huddersfield Examiner. Not only did he report on the sport for many years but he was also a playing member of Meltham and Almondbury Bowling Clubs. Other associations have similarly been bequeathed similar amounts but it is for them to announce their own good fortune.

Mr Mick Pogson of Meltham S&SC announced the legacy to the delegates at the meeting. Mick was a lifelong friend of Peter and is an executor of the estate. Mick expressed a wish that he be involved in the decisions to be made about the use of the money developing our sport.
