13 Sep QUEENS FUNERAL

The funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II is scheduled for 11 am on Monday 19 September. The day has been declared a bank holiday.

Our 6-man league has scheduled fixtures starting 1.30 pm on the same date and the Association has therefore postponed all matches. The matches are to be re-arranged between captains as is the normal procedure but have to be completed before Monday 3 October. Our bye-laws suggest playing on Friday afternoons but as it is very near the end of the season there are only two Fridays available so some flexibility is required in completing the programme.

When re-arrangements have been made between captains can the Home team captain please advise our League Secretary who will update Bowlsnet.

We would respectfully advise all teams to observe a minutes silence before all matches played under our auspices before and on Monday 19 September.
