Another week another final, and one to savour!

Thursday 15 September, 1.30 pm at Broad Oak Bowling Club and it’s the culmination of the competition designed specifically for clubs in the three lower divisions. Division 1 and 2 players are not allowed to bowl in any round of this competition.

This year we have the league newcomers – Linthwaite Hall from Division 3 playing off a handicap of 25 versus Marsh Libs from Division 5 playing off 40. It’s great to see teams from the lower echelons competing for a major trophy and a pairing of Division 3 vs Division 5 is a credit to the handicapping system. Last year saw a Division 4 team triumphing over a Division 3 team as Huddersfield Recreation beat Lowerhouses.

Residents of Croftlands Care Home will be watching the competition and it would be great to see more supporters helping where possible. Croftlands are a major sponsor of our league and we’d like to show them our appreciation.
