03 Jul TEAM KNOCKOUT QUARTER-FINAL DRAW

The Team Knockout for the top 32 ranking teams is getting down to the serious stage now with the quarter-finals taking place on Thursday 14 September at 1.30 pm. The draw is:

Golcar Lib A (scr) v. Marsh United A (+5) On Broad Oak.

Lockwood Con. A (scr) v. Lindley B.C. A (+5) On Milnsbridge.

Kirkheaton Con. A (+5) v. Longwood (scr) On Almondbury B.C.

Lindley Lib. A (+5) v. Meltham A (+5) On Crosland Moor B.C.

These are all division 1 teams as the previous rounds have whittled it down to the the teams you usually see competing for the top trophies. The interloper this year appears to be Lindley Bowling Club in their first season in the top flight who have a really tough draw against the reigning champions Lockwood Con with only a 5 chalks start. The other newly promoted team still in the draw is Kirkheaton Con who have an equally tough draw versus Longwood who were the beaten finalists last year and again with only a 5 chalks start.

Will we see a giant killing performance from the newly promoted teams? Be there to spur them on!
