Snuggled in the heart of the Holme Valley between our neighbouring tennis and cricket clubs lies one of the most successful clubs of recent times.

In addition to the two 10-man and two 6-man teams in the HVBA the club fields another 14 teams. Ladies teams play in the Huddersfield League and the Ladies Works League, mixed gender teams play in the Huddersfield Works League and the Elland League. The men have three teams in the Huddersfield League, two in Mirfield League and two in the Dearne & Don Leagues.

Most of the first teams play in the top divisions and are very competitive. The men’s first team have won the Yorkshire Cup four times in the last 10 years and the World Club Championship in 2015. Teams in the lower divisions are dedicated to offering places for new aspiring bowlers to hone their skills.

In 2019 the club held drop in sessions every Sunday morning welcoming new bowlers and are hoping to continue this initiative in 2021. Interested in joining?
