Once again we have a busy calendar of events planned throughout the 2025 Huddersfield Veterans Bowling Associations summer season.

All the competitions that ran last year are again taking place this year and the opening competition is the Pairs event.

The closing date for entries for this competition is rapidly approaching (Wednesday 16 April 2025) so please grab a partner and get your entries in by completing the entry form on the HVBA website.

Because the Pairs competition is starting quite early on, the prerequisite “three games” under Rule 17h has been waived for bowlers wishing to enter. The Pairs event opening round will be on the 24 April 2025.

Please note that for pairs competitions both entrants must be participating in this season’s league games for the club under which they are entering the competition.

Waterloo duo Alan Stephenson and Ian Lunn were winners of this event a year ago and as in 2024 this year’s final will once again be held at Almondbury Liberal club, the date for your diary is Thursday 15 May.
